Dobbiamo tutti noi capire il “cambiamento” che vogliamo…di per sé il “change” non è un valore, anche le ronde, possono essere un “fattore di cambiamento”, ma non credo proprio che sia quello il senso che il PD vuol dare a questo concetto.
Capire il cambiamento che vorremmo il PD preannunci con lungimiranza, guidi con energia e pragmatismo, interpreti con unità di intenti. Questo potrebbe già essere un buon inizio, verso quella “nuova stagione” di cui parlava Veltroni all’inizio della sua importante esperienza.

Condivido con tutti voi questo detto africano, particolarmente appropriato al momento che stiamo vivendo:

Per quanta simpatia potessi avere per quel coté democratico-sociale del cattolicesimo fiorentino (dove pure contavo molte conoscenze), mai avrei pensato che un giorno quel ragazzo e io ci saremmo ritrovati sotto le stesse bandiere. Del resto, chi poteva pensare alcunché del genere prima dell’Ottantanove? Per farla breve: il ragazzo era bravo, molto bravo. Gli detti trenta e lode, e credetti di potermi dimenticare di lui…

Così come lo sa Stefano Marmugi, presidente del Quartiere 1 e caro amico, col quale spesso – già nella fase costituente del PD – mi potevo trovare politicamente d’accordo sulle prospettive di fondo. Del resto, devo ammetterlo, una delle persone più “laiche” (per certi aspetti, perfino “anticlericale”) che io abbia mai conosciuto, era non solo cattolico, ma prete: padre Ernesto Balducci. Insomma, voglio dirlo: ritrovarsi nello stesso partito con persone come Primicerio o Marmugi è stato un piacere, non inferiore a quello di ritrovarci tanti vecchi compagni.

Non che Firenze sia Londra o Parigi. Chi pensasse che la nostra città è una megalopoli, sarebbe egli stesso un megalomane! Dunque: niente manie di grandezza. Le quali, paradossalmente, non son altro che l’immagine speculare della “Firenzina”: una Firenzina immersa nella contemplazione immobile di se stessa quale centro dell’universo mondo!
